Genuine Mahogany, Every Pen One of a Kind

The barrel is made of solid mahogany: reddish brown, with a grain that runs differently in every piece. The clip, rings, and tip are silver-colored. In the hand, the wood feels warmer than metal.

35 Grams That Move Steadily Across the Paper

Beneath the wood is a metal core. At 35 grams, the Legno is noticeably heavier than a plastic office ballpoint pen while staying well balanced, so your hand doesn’t tire, even over several pages. One twist of the upper barrel and the tip extends; the mechanism clicks firmly into place and won’t open by itself in your pocket.

A Refill for About 10 Kilometers

The G2 refill is German-made and writes smoothly in blue or black. When it runs out after about 10 kilometers, insert a new G2 refill, also available in other colors.

Personally Engraved on Request

We laser-engrave the metal upper barrel, front and back on request, with up to 30 characters per side and in six fonts. The preview shows you how the engraving will look before you order. We engrave in Dresden. The engraving on the silver-colored metal is subtle and blends into the design. The Legno comes in the Hörner gift box.

Is the wood engraved too?

No. We engrave the metal upper barrel, front and back on request. The wood stays untouched.

Which replacement refill fits?

Any refill in the G2 format, the widely used standard for large-capacity ballpoint refills. Our G2 ballpoint refills come in blue, black, green, and red, and in the line widths F, M, and B.

Is the ballpoint pen suitable for left-handed writers?

Yes. Ballpoint paste dries instantly, so nothing smudges when your hand glides over the freshly written line.

Does every Legno look the same?

No. Mahogany is a natural material, and shade and grain differ from piece to piece. Your pen may therefore turn out slightly lighter or darker than in the photos.
