Ebony: one of the world’s finest woods

Ebony has been used for centuries for the most precious objects: piano keys, chess pieces, and musical instruments. What makes it special is its extremely fine, uniform grain and unusual hardness.

For the outside of the Legno, we use genuine ebony, no veneer, no imitation. The inside of the body is brass. You feel the wood in your hand: warmer than metal, heavier than expected. The grain is unique to every single piece.

The Jowo nib: smooth, precise, durable

The gold-plated Jowo nib, manufactured in Germany, glides smoothly across the paper, without scratching or skipping. It responds to light pressure with a consistent ink flow.

Included in the delivery: an ink converter for complete freedom of choice. Use your favourite bottled ink or standard universal cartridges.
